Quick Tip: Customize the Values in Your Website's Sample Annuity Rate Tables
PG Calc’s Marketing Services websites come with ready-to-use Sample Annuity Rate tables, which help show the benefits of a gift annuity. Like most things with our Marketing Services, you can customize everything in this table.

There are a number of reasons you might want to do this. For example, you may want to match the sample Gift Amount to your organization’s minimum gift amount. Or, you may wish to change the examples for Age or Years Deferred in a DCGA table, to appeal to a certain cohort of donors.

Here’s how to update the values:

  1. Log in to your website and go to the Variables section of the toolbar. Then, navigate to the Calculated Tables tab.
  2. Type your desired gift amount and age in to the corresponding fields.
  3. After you’re finished making your changes, hit SAVE. The Payment Rate, Annuity, and Deduction amounts shown in the table will automatically recalculate.

Feel free to update these assumptions as frequently as you want -- or just ask us to do it for you. But remember, the custom table updates automatically as rates change, so the calculations will always be accurate!

Contact Andrew Palmer at apalmer@pgcalc.com or call 888-497-4970 to see a demo of our Marketing Services websites.

Gift Annuity Analysis and Projection Service
How profitable is your gift annuity program? Let us help you find out.

PG Calc can create a detailed written analysis of your gift annuities that includes projected residua and payment cash flows. Results are presented both in aggregate and at the individual contract level.

Statistics include ages, gift amounts, gift dates, and payout rates. Also, the projected termination year and amount is calculated for each annuity under several return assumptions. Problem annuities are identified and analyzed. Gift parameters are analyzed and remediation strategies are recommended. A phone consultation to review the results is included.

If you'd like to request a gift annuity analysis, please contact Ellen Rakatansky at erakatansky@pgcalc.com or 617-497-4970 ext. 1205.

Why Attend One of PG Calc’s Training Sessions?
It can take years to become familiar with the myriad of concepts and layers of details of planned giving: complex tax calculations, IRS tables, legal limitations, industry standards, and so on.

But if you’re new to planned giving, don’t be intimated – we’re here to help. You can benefit from PG Calc's seasoned instructors years of expertise. PG Calc offers specialized training sessions, both on the gift planning side and the gift administration side.

Our training sessions focus on how to use the software applications to carry out specific activities most effectively and efficiently. We also know how to make this stuff interesting; our sessions tend to be exchanges of comments and questions between planned giving colleagues at organizations and companies across the country. In fact, our attendees are frequently surprised at how much fun they have – we encourage you to come and give us a try!

Goshen College Enthusiastically Upgrades to Our New Gift Calculator
We recently made a significant upgrade to GiftCalcs.

GiftCalcs is a web-based, interactive calculator that provides deduction calculations for all of the planned gift types that your organization accepts. Integrated with your website, GiftCalcs lets you brand the calculator, customize the look and feel of the calculator, and add content that specifically reflects your organization’s mission.

Roger Nafziger, Director of Gift Planning at Goshen College told us:

"We are excited to incorporate PG Calc’s new gift calculator into our planned giving website. It provides our donors with a fast and accurate way to visualize the benefits of a planned gift, especially how the gift can help themselves while helping our organization.

The input is easy and intuitive, and the output is clear and visually attractive – a nice enhancement of the previous calculator!”
