Latest Version of Planned Giving for Canadians Now Available

Planned Giving Manual for CandiansPlanned Giving for Canadians is the comprehensive resource for development officers who want to offer Canadian donors a full range of giving options. Revised annually by PG Calc Senior Advisor Frank Minton, this e-book is valuable for gift planners on both sides of the border, particularly those affiliated with U.S. colleges and universities. The 2014 revision incorporates changes proposed in the 2014 Federal Budget – most importantly, the added flexibility in claiming tax credits for charitable bequests, effective in 2016. It also contains new material on marketing and the practice of planned giving.

This e-book is included as a membership benefit for Canadian Association of Gift Planning (CAGP) members. The latest update was sent on August 15 to those clients who receive access directly from PG Calc.

Sage Colleges' Investment in Software Training Pays Off

Melissa K. Komora, Vice-President of Institutional Advancement at The Sage Colleges had this to say about a recent software training she and a colleague attended:

The Planned Giving Manager (PGM) Introductory training was terrifically structured and well worth the investment.  The instructor was very personable, as well as knowledgeable from the basics to the more the complex, and very patient with all of our questions. Training dollars are hard to come by these days as non-profit organizations tighten their budgets.

The investment that The Sage Colleges made for myself and my Sr. Director of Leadership Gifts to attend the Introductory training has paid off many times over, whether in having easy-to-use templates readily available or in avoiding paperwork delays, as we now know where to go in the software to get what we need to complete the gift. We also came away with some innovative ideas on using the software in gift illustration presentations.

To realize the full benefit of having the PGM software in your office, I highly recommend the PGM Introductory training from PG Calc!
