How High Is the Sky? PG Calc Client Services sometimes gets calls from clients who think there must be some sort of mistake when they see payout rates as high as 15% or 20% for deferred charitable gift annuities. However, no mistake has been made.
There is a significant difference between the nominal payout rate of a deferred gift annuity and the effective payout rate of a deferred gift annuity. Let's take a closer look at how these payout rates work and try to make some sense of it.

Quick Tip: GiftWrap Task Notifications Did you know that you can receive alerts from GiftWrap about upcoming events? For example, you can have GiftWrap send you a notification email that it is time to request an estate inventory from a donor's estate. This functionality is available with the optional Workflow module. If your organization is not already using the Workflow module, please contact Sales to discuss adding this functionality. You can configure your GiftWrap account to automatically send you an email when a Workflow task is coming due, as follows:
- Log into GiftWrap
- Click on the "My Account" link in the screen banner
- Find the Task Settings area.
- Click on the "Send Task Notification Emails" checkbox.
- Enter a value in the data entry box labeled "Include Tasks in advance of due date" to specify how many days in advance of the due date to receive notification.
- Click OK.
Once you have completed these steps, you can count on never missing an important event!
